10 April - A glitch in my system

I've continued to take daily pictures but because of a bad cold and Easter festivities didn't have the time to post the photos.  Here they are, so I can successfully say I've finished the challenge.

9 April - Eccentric Yard Decorations

Ribbons, large cones - probably from longleaf pines - hang from a curly willow (Salix matsudana tortuosa) in one of my favorite South Roanoke gardens.

Why is this one of my favorite gardens?  I think it is because the owner seems to have fun with it.  I never know what kinds of 'found objects' or seemingly unrelated objects  might be displayed.

8 April 2014 - Vignette in a South Roanoke yard

Is anyone going to sit on this bench this summer, or has it become forgotten?  Discovered on a leisurely walk through oe of Roanoke's residential neighborhoods.

April 7 - Home Entrance

A formal entrance way to gracious house in South Roanoke.

Dramatic use of forsythia.

April 6 - "Aladdin" staged by middle school students

One of the most difficult photos for me is of a stage performance while in the audience.

Here is a performance of "Aladdin" by talented students from  James Madison Middle School Roanoke, VA.

14 more photos to post

It has been very easy for me to get behind in posting my photos. However, in the end there will be thirty photos!

Some days I feel as if  there is a chain-link fence between me and my 'perfect' photo.
